29 hours of doco and factual

NZ’s latest board round has approved support for six one-off docos for TVNZ, three series, plus top-ups for previously-funded Lippy Pictures and Top Shelf shows.

TV One’s Sunday evening current affairs slot will see six one-hour Sunday Specials, for which the broadcaster will shortly issue an RFP.

Prime gets a second series of Making New Zealand, Māori Television looks at dancers the O’Neill twins in Sisters, and TV2 gets another round of Fresh (pictured, top).

Top Shelf’s Heritage Rescue, originally funded as 8 x 30′ with $484,000, gets additional support to extend episodes to an hour. Lippy Pictures gets additional support for Platinum Fund drama Jean.
