MediaWorks is launching a new fashion ‘pop-up’ channel through TV3’s video on-demand service 3NOW for New Zealand Fashion Week ( NZFW), allowing Kiwis to see all the runway action during the nation’s premiere fashion trade event when it returns on August 25.
Launched in conjunction with Mercedes Benz, the pop-up channel will provide viewers with a ‘virtual front row’ experience of each designer showcase, with each show made available for viewing shortly after the live event at NZFW.
Amanda Wilson, Head of Marketing & Publicity, MediaWorks TV, says TV3 is proud of the innovative opportunity that a partnership with NZFW allows.
“As New Zealand celebrates the very best in creativity on show within our fashion industry, we’re delighted that our technology and support will allow all Kiwis to experience every designer and their creations via our 3NOW app.”
Fashion powerhouse Kate Sylvester returns to NZFW this year and will showcase her collection within a schedule of more than 40 designers including Trelise Cooper, Stolen Girlfriends Club, Huffer, Hailwood and Zambesi, who will feature their Autumn/Winter 2015 collections and all be available for viewing exclusively on 3NOW.
In addition to the designer shows, the pop-up channel will also feature Fashion Front Row, a daily web-only insider’s guide to NZFW presented by 3 News Entertainment Editor, Kate Rodger. She’ll be joined by a line-up of fashion experts as they discuss and review the latest looks and trends, gossip and glamour across the week.
The pop-up channel will go live on Tuesday, 26 August, shortly after the first shows debut at NZFW for the duration of the event and for a week following. Every designer show will be available exclusively online and on-demand with TV3’s free 3NOW app across mobile and tablet (iOS and Android), and at www.tv3.co.nz/NZFW, where fashion lovers can find exclusive editorial content, photo galleries, competitions and more.
3 News will also offer exclusive access and coverage of the event with regular reports across Firstline, 3 News at 6pm, The Paul Henry Show and 3News.co.nz. Additional content will screen on FOUR within SMASH!, weekdays at 4pm.
TV3 is the Official Broadcast Partner of New Zealand Fashion Week, and TV3 and MediaWorks Radio are both Elite Partners of the event. George FM is the lead radio station, with support from The Edge.
