Rialto Channel 48HOURS has opened registrations for the competition’s 12th edition in NZ.
The shoot weekend, 4 – 6 April, is when daylight saving comes to an end, so everyone scores an extra hour – although not necessarily an extra hour of sleep for furious filmmakers.
All the usual ingredients will return … lack of sleep, laptop slapping, Peter Jackson wildcards.
For those hailing from the home of Tropfest NZ, the Naki, this year’s 48Hours entries are free. School teams nationwide will get a 2-for-1 deal on entries, because there just isn’t enough competition in schools these days.
For registration and more info click on 48Hours and shield your eyes a bit. Registration closes April Fool’s Day (and no, that’s not a joke).
