A pair for Stanley

Two NZ features will play Colorado’s Stanley Film Festival later this month. Both are horrors, and both have recently screened at SXSW in Austin. A third NZ title returns to the US, where it’s been doing well on the festival circuit.

Gerard Johnstone’s Housebound plays Stanley, where Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement’s What We Do In The Shadows will close the festival. Bloody Disgusting has the full Stanley line-up.

A few states away 3 Mile Limit, which has closed after a short and disappointing run at the NZ box office, will play the Charleston IFF. Craig Newland’s feature has already played several US festivals, coming away with awards on a couple of occasions.
