New Zealand agencies took 23 awards from 27 nominations at AMES. A third of the awards were won by DDB. The total metal count was 6 Gold, 12 Silver, 5 Bronze.
DDB’s 1 Gold, 5 Silver and 2 Bronze awards were split across the Bring Down the King campaign promoting Game of Thrones for Sky and Deep Dive for Steinlager.
Saatchi & Saatchi’s Catch a Million for Tui, a regular winner at awards bashes, took 2 Gold and 2 Silver awards.
Republik’s Haus of Versant for Fuji Xerox won 2 Golds and 1 Silver. Also with three wins, Colenso took one each of Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Clemenger BBDO won 2 Silver, Spark PHD 2 Bronze and Twenty one Silver.
All up 144 winners from 12 countries took away 3 Platinum, 26 Gold, 44 Silver and 70 Bronze awards. India did best, winning 31 trophies.
AMES ran its annual conference and awards bash on 3 June in Singapore.
