Toa Fraser’s The Dead Lands will be the feature attraction for this year’s Aotearoa Maori Film Festival, playing Sydney next month courtesy of the support of the Sydney Maori Business Network.
Curated by the Wairoa Film Festival’s Director, Leo Koziol, the festival presents programmes of short films from the last two years, plus filmmaking workshops for children. the 2014 edition was the festival’s inaugural outing.
This year’s shorts selection includes Wairoa winners from the last two years, Darren Simmonds’ Incd and Richard Curtis’ Ahi Ka and Hamish Bennett’s NZ’s Best winner Ross and Beth.
The Aotearoa Maori Film Festival runs 11 – 13 September in Sydney.
