Amy Street a winner in Berlin

Kirsty Griffin and Viv Kernick’s Amy Street has taken the Non-Ficiton award at this year’s Webfest Berlin.

Developed from Griffin and Kernick”s 2014 Loading Docs short Wayne, the Amy Street series has had a solid run on the web fest circuit this year. Amy Street took the Best Documentary award at the Buenos Aires Web Fest in March and was the big winner at Melbourne WebFest at the beginning of July.

Among the other winners in Berlin over the weekend was Aussie series High Life, featuring 800 Words’ Benson Jack Anthony, which currently sits atop the Web Series World Cup table.

Terror 404

Berlin’s Grand Prize Winner was Sébastien Diaz’s Terror 404 (pictured, above), which also took out the Action/Thriller/Suspense gong.

Justin Harwood’s High Road (the first series of which won the Web Series World Cup in 2015) played in Webfest Berlin’s Returning Series programme.



Webfest Berlin ran 8 – 9 September.
