Animfx 2009: the programme

A month out from the Gaming, Animation and Visual Effects industries annual confab in Wellington, details are now available.

At first glance the programme seems tighter than last year’s, even though the event runs a day longer. A day each of masterclasses and wokshops sandwich the talkfest day.

The conference day features a stronger emphasis on individual speakers than last year’s programme, which was more geared towards panel discussions. Some speakers will be returning from previous conferences, with the opening address this year being given by multi-Oscar winner Richard Taylor of Weta Workshop.

Two of Weta Workshops sister companies, Weta Digital and Park Road Post, are amongst the event’s industry sponsors, along with Autdesk, Sauce and Sidhe.
