TV Guide’s vox pop gong fest threw up plenty of predictable winners, and a couple of surprises to boot.
For the ninth time in 13 editions of the awards, Robyn Malcolm took the Best Actress award, this year for Agent Anna. Shane Cortese scored a hat-trick for Nothing Trivial, winning Best Actor for the third year running.
Anzac Girls, featuring another Outrageous Fortune alumna, took the Best Drama award. Despite screening on the generally lower-rating Prime, the Screentime show may have benefitted by having screened here very close to the voting period after its earlier run in Australia.
Having won at last year’s NZ Film Awards and been the big winner at the Doc Edge awards Erebus: Operation Overdue took the Best Documentary gong.
