AttitudeLive.com has taken the e-Inclusion & Accessibility award at the Digital Empowerment Foundation’s Manthan Awards in New Delhi.
The Manthan Awards have been running since 2004, honouring the use of ICT and digital tools for developmental purposes by organisations in the Asia Pacific region. They were set up with support from the World Summit Awards. Earlier this year, Attitude also won a World Summit Award for Inclusion & Empowerment.
Attitude’s win was for developing “the world’s largest repository of content for and about PWDs”. The extensive online library of documentaries, blogs, information, resources and tools has been built from Attitude’s 11 years of programme-making, offering over 400 documentaries.
Multi-lingual closed captioning, audio descriptions, dyslexic-friendly typography and a fully responsive design for mobiles and tablets ensure ensures that people with a range of diverse abilities can access the content.
AttitudeLive was one of 27 winners across 12 categories at this year’s Manthan Awards.
