Best in class

NZ On Air has published the research The Use of New Zealand Screen Content in New Zealand Schools by University of Waikato Associate Professor Geoff Lealand.

The study notes the use of, attitudes towards and responses for and against the use of local fare across a range of subjects and students up to age 18.

The survey achieved responses from a fairly small number of the country’s teachers. 91% of those responding said they did use NZ screen content in their teaching, with short films the commonly-used form of content. The NZ On Air-funded NZ On Screen was one of the primary sources of content used in schools.
