Blind Panic seeks calming cash

Almost halfway to the $40,000 goal of their Kickstarter campaign for Mark Willis’ feature Blind Panic, producer Matthew Mawkes is hosting a fundraiser in Auckland this Wednesday (12 October).

Meet the cast, watch some great promo footage, and enjoy a complimentary wine and nibbles. And support the production!

Blind Panic features Erroll Shand (Harry, Filthy Rich, and currently on screens in The Rehearsal) and Jodie Hillock (Until Proven Innocent, The Brokenwood Mysteries and Jackie van Beek’s upcoming The Inland Road).

Wills’ CV includes children’s show What Now, Robert Sarkies’ Scarfies and his own Creative NZ-supported short Splinter.

Whet your appetite for Blind Panic with this bit of test footage shot last year.

The fundraiser runs at 6.30pm on Wednesday 12 October at Gypsy Tea Room, 455 Richmond Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland. RSVP to Matthew Mawkes at [email protected] or 021 0707 018. Out of Aucklanders can support the project on Kickstarter.
