Even a Golden Globe-clutching The Revenant can’t topple Star Wars from its perch. We might not be half way through the year’s first month, but it seems safe to assume that no 2016 release is going to score bigger at the box office, here or globally.

Amid the festival flavours currently on the chart, Tammy Davis’ Born to Dance steps out for a few more outings ahead of Berlinale outings. Ahead of the French Film Festival here, which opens its 2016 here from mid-February, one of last year’s festival titles (and Cesar winner) The Belier Family also does good numbers. In from Hong Kong, Crouching Tiger Burning Warehouse’s Donnie Yen gets his third outing as the man who taught Bruce Lee in Ip Man 3.
