Box Office: week to 8 November 2017

Bad Moms 2 opens with over $450,000, which would be a comfortable chart topper many weeks of the year – but not when Taika Waititi’s Thor is early in its run. Ragnorak continues in top spot. In the US (where it opened a week later than here) it’s printing money and plaudits.

Locals Waru and No Ordinary Sheila both hold up very well. The Changeover has gone, with a little over $160,000+ in the bank, which looks a slightly less respectable number when you realise a subtitled doco about cats in Istanbul has taken over $150,000.
