Bravo wants your ideas

Bravo has issued a RFP for a new, local unscripted programme.

The channel’s RFP is up for “all unscripted ideas” suitable for a peak timeslot, with a particular interest in food and real estate genres. The show will target Bravo’s core demo: F25-54, household shoppers with kids. “Our audience loves losing themselves in a world that is different from their own, yet has characters who are incredibly relatable,” says the RFP.

The aim is to develop a programme running a minimum of 8 x commercial hours, with a budget of $600,000.

Arriving in NZ to a mixed reception, partly because it replaced MediaWorks’ FOUR, Bravo screened its first NZ commission, an Auckland-set outing for the Real Housewives franchise, to mostly positive responses last year. The channel is also the NZ home for programmes including Top Chef, Vanderpump Rules, Below Deck, Shahs of Sunset, Southern Charm and Million Dollar Listing: “fabulous rebels, trending affluencers, and larger-than-life personalities… guilt-free pleasure”.

Bravo’s RFP is open until 17 March, with Bravo intending to consider all proposals by early April. Download the RFP document.
