This year’s Big Screen Symposium has announced Cliff Curtis, Christopher Doyle and Barrie Osorne to complete its line-up for 2016.
Cliff Curtis will do an In Conversation session to close out the event. Curtis has been busy of late with US TV series Fear the Walking Dead (which also features NZ actress Michelle Ang), and Kevin Reynold’s Risen (which also features a character walking dead and earned the US rating PG-13 “for Biblical violence”).
US-born NZ-resident producer Barrie Osborne has done plenty of features here including the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The World’s Fastest Indian and Pete’s Dragon. He’s currently EP on Meg. Like Curtis, he’ll do an In Conversation session.
Rounding out the threesome is Australia-born Hong Kong-resident cinematographer Christopher Doyle, who’s shot many classic Asian titles – several of them by Wong Kar-wai – and last year’s Port of Call, for which he took the cinematography gong at this year’s Hong Kong Film Awards. Doyle will present a masterclass and an address.
The Big Screen Symposium runs 24 – 25 September in Auckland. Tickets are now on sale.
