Critics Week names 7 in competition

Critics Week lined up a French-heavy selection for its 54th edition. The seven in-cometition titles were chosen from a field of 1100, while the short and medium-length titles came from 1750 submissions. Nine of the 11 features programmed are first features.

Of those titles previously seen elsewhere, Trey Edward Shults’ Krisha was a jury prize winner at SXSW.

Critics Week runs 14 – 22 May, alongside the Cannes Film Festival 13 – 24 May and Marché du Film 13 – 22 May. Directors Fortnight runs 14 – 24 May.
