Having removed Of Men & War from the festival programme, Doc Edge has moved late addition title The Desk to more user-friendly spots in the schedule.
SCREENZ understands Henry has seen the film. It’s not yet known whether he’ll be able to make the first public screening, although director Andrew Goldman will attend.
In Auckland The Desk gets a special sneak preview screening ahead of Sweet Micky for President, the official opening night presentation. The Desk plays at 5.30pm on Wednesday 20, reasonably friendly timing for someone who has to be up in the wee hours for his breakfast show.
The Desk will also screen in Auckland at 10pm on Thursday 21 May (as previously announced); at 9pm on Saturday 23 May; and at 9pm on Friday 29 May. The screenings of The Desk previously announced at 11.30pm on Saturday 23 May and 11.15pm on Sunday 31 May are cancelled.
The screening of Of Men and War scheduled for 9pm, Sunday 31 May is cancelled. Doc Edge will announce a special screening for that slot closer to the time.
In Wellington, the screenings of Of Men & War are also cancelled. The Desk will take one of the slots vacated, having an extra screening at 3.30pm on Tuesday 9 June. Doc Edge will announce special screenings closer to the time for the two other slots vacated by Of Men & War, 8.45pm on Saturday 6 June and 8pm on Sunday 14 June.
