The Documentary New Zealand Trust launches its Doc Edge Clinics next week, offering filmmakers an opportunity to learn from industry experts, present works-in-progress and receive feedback.
Acclaimed American filmmaker Frederick Marx (Hoop Dreams, Journey from Zanskar) will deliver a masterclass on the growing importance and impact of social change documentaries. He will also discuss documentary storytelling techniques, mentor a selected group of filmmakers who present and discuss their projects with him.
As well as participating in the Clinic, Marx will present two of his own works next weekend: Journey from Zanskar at 6.30pm Friday 23 October and Boys to Men? on Saturday 24 October.
The Doc Edge Clinic will run at AUT on Saturday 24 October.
