DPC trains up for awards

Dinosaur Polo Club’s independent puzzle game Mini Metro is up for gongs at two international award events.

At GDC in San Francisco, Dinosaur Polo Club has four nominations at the Independent Games Festival (IGF) Awards (the ‘Oscars of indie gaming’). From over 750 entries for the awards Mini Metro took nominations for Excellence in Visual Art, Design, Audio, as well as the Seumas McNally Grand Prize.

The IGF awards are will be presented on 17 March (NZ time) and will stream on Twitch.tv.

On 7 April, Mini Metro will compete for the Best Debut Game award at the BAFTA’s Game Awards in London. All up, 44 games have been recognised across 17 categories at the BAFTAs, which will also screen live on Twitch,tv.
