DPC wins in San Francisco

Dinosaur Polo Club’s Mini Metro has won an Independent Games Festival award at this year’s Game Developers Conference in the US.

Named a finalist for the Audio, Design, Visual Art awards, and the Grand Prize, Dinosaur Polo Club’s Mini Metro won the Excellence in Audio award “for its entrancing melodies and rhythmic beats”.

Winners of the Excellence categories also compete for the Seumas McNally Grand Prize, which was won by Sam Barlow’s Excellence in Narrative winner, Her Story.

Mini Metro is also in the running for the Best Debut Game award at the BAFTA’s Game Awards in London in April.

The Independent Games Festival awards were presented 19 March (NZ time) on the final day of the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. The winners were:
