Film Raro: adds second team to mix

An Australian team led by Marcus Hamill and Joel Russell (short Viva Las Possum) has nabbed the second spot on offer in the Film Raro challenge with a royal-themed comedy short, Dog Save The Queen.

The script features a cameo from the Queen, which might stretch the budget a tad but, other than that, it’s very Cook Islands focused and both the filmmakers and challenge organisers are excited by the prospect of getting it made.

Hamill and Russell have yet to conform the other team members they’ll take to the Islands in May. One assumes they’ve just jumped a whole lot higher up a lot of people’s Christmas card lists.

The previously-announced team to take up the Film Raro challenge is led by David Gould (The Cure). Entries are still open here.
