The German Film Festival opens later this month in Wellington, tripping to three other centres before ending its run in Auckland in mid-October.
The festival offers up to 10 titles this year. German film is generating plenty of attention this year, much of it on the back of the festival circuit success of Toni Erdmann.
Among this year’s German Film Festival selections are Anne Zohra Berrached’s 24 Weeks (pictured, top), Doris Dorrie’s Fukishima, Mon Amour and Karl Marcovics’ Superworld, all of which had their premieres on home turf at the Berlinale.
Admission to screenings is free, and can be booked in advance. The full programme can be downloaded here.
