Greenstone has Next Big Idea

Greenstone`s new owners, Australian production company CJZ, have announced The Next Big Idea pitch. The scheme joins Libertine Pictures` Big Break, announced last week, and the NZWG-administered Seed Grants Initiative, announced just before Christmas.

The Greenstone scheme offers $10,000 to one winner, with potential involvement as the show goes through development and (hopefully) into production. Greenstone is looking for 30/60 minute shows in genres where, mostly, it`s got a solid track record: factual series, drama, comedy, light entertainment and factual entertainment.

While there`s only $10,000 cheque up for grabs, Greenstone is willing to option more than one idea if it finds a number of projects it wishes to pursue.

There are, of course, terms, conditions and fine print to satisfy … all of which Greenstone lay out here.

The deadline for applications is 11 April, with the winner`s announcement to come on Friday May 23, 2014.
