HIFF takes six

Half a dozen shorts and features, most by Maori filmmakers, are named in the programme for the Hawaii International Film Festival.

The features named are One Thousand Ropes, Poi E: The Story Of Our Song and Waru – the latter making its third trip to the Americas after selections at Toronto and imagineNATIVE.

The shorts selected are Tim Worrall’s Meke (pictured, top), Dave Whitehead’s Possum and Jared Flitcroft’s Tama.

The Hawaii International Film Festival runs 2 – 19 November.
