Julie Christie quits MediaWorks board

Julie Christie has announced her departure from the board of MediaWorks. Earlier this month she was named a Dame Companion in the Queen’s Birthday honours list.

She has been on the board of MediaWorks since the company’s trip through receivership in 2013, when its debts were in the region of $700 million.

Having lost its high-profile CEO and essentially given up one of its TV channels last year, it recently announced a $15million loss.

Christie plans to return to production.
