Kiwi cast to lead Aussie drama

Australian director Clara Chong’s first narrative feature, X Was Here, has added Keisha Castle-Hughes and Craig Hall to the previously-announced Michael Caton (Last Cab to Darwin, Packed to the Rafters, The Castle) and John Jarratt (Wolf Creek 1 & 2, McLeod’s Daughters).

Castle-Hughes was seen recently in Game of Thrones and has been working in the US on Cameron Crowe’s upcoming TV movie Roadies and Mardana Mayginnes’ soon-to-release Queen of Carthage.

Hall has been mostly occupied with TV work since Paul Campion’s The Devil’s Rock and leads upcoming Sunday Theatre drama Venus and Mars. He was also cast, alongside fellow expat actor Karl Urban, in the remake of Disney’s Pete’s Dragon which shot here earlier in the year.

Production on X Was Here is intended to commence later this year in Sydney.
