The Melbourne International Film Festival has released the voting for its Audience Awards with year, separated into narrative and doco features.
Slavko Martinov’s Pecking Order (pictured, top) is named number nine on the doco list, which is headed by a pair of Aussie titles, All For One and The Song Keepers, sandwiching Jennifer Brea’s Unrest.
Among the narrative titles, Call Me By Your Name takes the tops spot, with Ali’s Wedding (produced by ex-pat Helen Panckhurst) at #2. Ali’s Wedding won the critics’ gong last week. Jane Campion’s Top of the Lake: China Girl was the festival’s fourth most popular narrative presentation.
The Melbourne Film Festival is all over bar the shouting, and will return 2 – 19 August 2018.
