Panavision is bringing John Seale ACS ASC and Action Unit DOP David Burr ACS to Auckland for a conversation about George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road ahead of its theatrical release in May.
Mad Max: Fury Road is an apocalyptic story set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and almost everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life.

Seale is known for his work on Rain Man (1988), The English Patient (1996) and the first of the Harry Potter adaptations, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone(2001). Burr worked as a focus puller (Sleeping Dogs, Gallipoli), and was a camera operator on previous Mad Max title Beyond Thunderdome in 1985. He shot a wide range of titles, most recently Aussie drama The Cup, before returning to the desert as DP second unit onMad Max: Fury Road.
