Middle-earth wins at SXSW

Despite not taking the game of the year gong, Warners’ Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor took most wins at the sophomore edition of SXSW’s Gaming Awards.

Mordor took three awards, for Excellence in Animation, Design & Direction, and Gameplay.

The Game of the Year winner was Dragon Age: Inquisition, which wasn;t awarded in any other category. Dragon Age also won the GOTY at the DICE Awards last month despite having far fewer category awards than Mordor.
