New York to present Rehearsal

This year’s New York Film Festival (NYFF) has announced Alison Maclean’s The Rehearsal among its Main Slate feature line-up. The film recently had its world premiere at the NZIFF and will have its release here later this year. The NYFF screening is announced as The Rehearsal’s US premiere, not the North American premiere, which suggests it might yet be announced for Toronto.

Also in the NYFF Main Slate line-up are a small number of world premieres (including opener Ava DuVernay’s Netflix doco The 13th) and plenty of titles currently doing the festival circuit rounds, including Gianfranco Rosi’s Berlinale winner, Fuocoammare (Fire at Sea), Ken Loach’s Palme d’Or-winner I, Daniel Blake and fellow Cannes selections Cristian Mungiu’s Graduation, Olivier Assayas’ Personal Shopper and Maren Ade’s Toni Erdmann.

Other NYFF programmes are still to be announced. The New York Film Festival will run 30 September – 16 October.
