In all the excitement of the Qantas Awards, everyone overlooked that Natural History New Zealand (NHNZ) almost won another award last week.
Two days before the Qantas bash, where NHNZ won the inaugural International Achievement Award sponsored by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise and presented by Prime Minister John Key, the company also picked up a special commendation at the American Chamber of Commerce (NZ) Awards.
The commendation came in recognition of their contribution as one of New Zealand’s most significant exporters to the US, in the $5 million+ category.
Global dairy giant Fonterra took out the category along with the supreme award. Perhaps if NHNZ added a little more melamine to their products, they’d have got the cream. Just a suggestion.
