MIC Toi Rerehiko and the New Zealand International Film Festival (NZFF) 2010, have announced the first call for submissions for Homegrown, for local short films, video and animation.
Homegrown consistently attracts the most cutting-edge and innovative works from both established and up-and-coming Kiwi filmmakers. From the poignant to the skillfully irreverent, the programmes present a uniquely contemporary New Zealand cinematic vision.
In 2009, the festival screened 22 works in the Homegrown section, selected from 118 entries. They included Poppy, The Six Dollar Fifty Man and Love and Luksaah.
