NZGDC open to ideas

The NZ Game Developers Conference will run 19 September 2014 in Auckland. As they did last year, organisers have put out a call for session suggestions

– either from those willing to present sessions or those with a wish list – to try to deliver the most relevant programme possible.

The conference will run three simultaneous strands, offering sessions on Production & Business, Art & Design and Tech & Infrastructure. Practical, relevant and inspiring are the watchwords, to keep attendees engaged and the day ticking along.

NZGDA chair Stephen Knightly, HalfBrick Studios’ Jason Harwood and industry veteran and raconteur Alex St John take a breather at NZGDC 2013

A week after the NZGDC, Digital Nationz will run its second edition on 27 – 18 September, directly up against Script to Screen’s Big Screen Symposium for anyone with fingers in multiple pies.

Organisers are also trying to fill the gap between NZGDC and Digital NatioNZ with game-related events to create a Festival of Games. B2B and B2C ideas are equally welcome. Email Ben Kenobi if you would like to be involved. Updates to information on the NZGDC will be published on the NZ Game Developers Association’s website and via the NZGDA Facebook page.
