Orphans & Kingdoms back for more

Paolo Rotondo’s Escalator feature Orphans and Kingdoms will return to cinemas for a run from 14 April.

Starring Colin Moy (In My Fathers Den, Deathgasm, The Most Fun You Can Have Dying)
 alongside acting newcomers Calae Hignett-Morgan, Hanelle Harris and Jesse-James Rehu Pickery, Orphans and Kingdoms added to its $250,000 NZFC money with support from Random Films, Flying Fish, crowd funding and a large group of sponsors.

The film was shot entirely on location on Waiheke in the winter of 2013.

The film premiered at the 2014 NZIFF and has since clocked up several international festival outings, collecting gongs including Best Film at the Anchorage International Film Festival. Here, it took Best Editor at the NZ Film Awards.

Prior to its run from 14 April, Orphans & Kingdoms will have a gala presentation at Auckland’s Civic on 5 April.
