Kim Webby’s The Price of Peace has added to its award haul, picking up its second gong in Canada. Last year Webby’s doco took the Best Doco award at ImagineNative. This week it took second place at the Montreal First Peoples’ Festival.
Aussie Darlene Johnson’s short Bluey took the Best Short Film award. Blackhorse Lowe, a guest at the inaugural Maoriland Film Festival, took the festival’s Best Cinematography gong with Chasing the Light.
The festival presented two programmes of shorts curated by Wairoa Maori Film Festival’s Leo Koziol and Auckland Uni’s Deborah Walker.
