PGA looks past Boyhood

The Producers Guild Awards, oft-credited with lining up the Oscar Best Film winner, plumped for Birdman at the weekend bash.

Birdman: don’t look back, but the awards are mounting up

While the producers may or may not have it right this year for the Academy’s Best Film choice, they certainly differed with the Academy over the best work in the Animated Feature and Documentary categories. The PGA awarded The LEGO Movie and Life Itself respectively, neither of which made the nominee list for the Oscars.
