Pot Luck shares tomorrow

Wellington-shot Pot Luck webseries releases episodes weekly from tomorrow, having premiered its pilot late last year to accompany a crowdfunding campaign.

The series picked up just over $22,500 from its Boosted campaign.

Written and directed by Ness Simons, NZ’s first lesbian webseries is a dramatic comedy centring around the lives of Mel (Nikki Si’ulepa), Debs (Anji Kreft) and Beth (Tess Jamieson-Karaha).

The crew included women in the roles of Writer, Director, Producer, Director of Photography, 1st Assistant Director – and more. 69% of cast and crew were women and over 20% LGBT.

Simons said, “It’s a chance to entertain an audience with some characters they don’t usually see on screen. These women are just everyday people trying to sort their lives out, and have a few laughs with their friends along the way.”

Catch up with the first episode of Pot Luck below and visit the YouTube channel for episode two tomorrow (Tuesday 14).
