Pukeko looks to Vietnam

A Pukeko Pictures concept is named among the projects to vie for attention at this year’s Asian Animation Summit in Vietnam.

The summit is supported by a number of screen funding agencies from around the Asia-Pacific region, primarily KOCCA (Korea), SIPA and DITP (Thailand), MDeC (Malaysia) and Screen Australia. It doesn’t normally accept projects from countries whose screen agencies aren’t sponsors of the event. This year, the Pukeko project joins others from Australia, Malaysia, Korea, Singapore and Thailand.

The summit is essentially a project market, bringing together commissioners, funders and investors for sessions including pitch presentations, Q&A sessions and one-to-one meetings.

The Asian Animation Summit will run 3 – 5 December in Vietnam, a few days ahead of the Singapore Media Festival, which is running its own three-day Animation Lab as part of the Asia Television Forum.
