Resene supports NZ section of NZIFF

NZIFF today announced Resene as the 2014 New Zealand strand sponsors of the New Zealand International Film Festival.

The New Zealand strand is the section of the NZIFF programme showcasing New Zealand films. In 2014 the programme features eleven feature-length films and two shorts programmes by New Zealand filmmakers.

“To have the support of Resene for our New Zealand programme is a perfect combination. It brings together two New Zealand-made organisations supporting New Zealand creativity. And this support comes at a crucial time for NZIFF,” says Bill Gosden, NZIFF Director.

“Resene started in a New Zealand garage in 1946 when Ted Nightingale mixed up some concrete based paint in his garage. Over the years we’ve had a lot of support all over the country, which we’ve always been grateful for. Now it’s our turn to support other kiwis with their creative New Zealand films and help them grow and develop as others have helped, and continue to help, us. We’re looking forward to cracking open the Jaffas and enjoying the New Zealand films on offer,” says Karen Warman, Resene Marketing Manager.

The complete NZIFF programme will be revealed in Auckland this evening. All film information will be live on nziff.co.nz from 7pm tonight. The Wellington programme will be available from Friday 27 June. NZIFF screens in Auckland from 17 July to 3 August, and in Wellington from 25 July to 10 August.
