Cameraman and editor Mike Hardcastle passed away on Wednesday.
Hardcastle began his career in Wellington in the early 1970s, spending time with John O’Shea at Pacific Films and shooting on classic Kiwi features including Geoff Murphy’s Pork Pie and Utu as well as a lot of TV productions.

Hardcastle died on 24 August.
A funeral to farewell and remember Mike Hardcastle will be held at the Cox’s Bay Sea Scout Hall, 55 West End Road, Herne Bay, Auckland, at 11:30am on Saturday 27 August 2016.
