RRFF adds trio

Audiences will be lucky enough to be able to hear from director Alexei Petrukhin and lead actresses Irina Kupchenko (pictured, top) and Anna Churn in a special Q&A session following Sunday’s screening of the Russian thriller Teacha at this year’s Russian Resurrection Film Festival.

Film Outline:The unexpected silence of the school corridor is disturbed by a gun shot. An experienced high school teacher with a career spanning forty years is surrounded by morally bankrupt, reckless and insulting teenagers who simply do not want to study. The tables are quickly turned when the teacher confiscates a gun brought into the class by one of the students.

The Russian Resurrection Film Festival runs 21 – 26 October at Rialto, Auckland.
