Screen Australia has a laugh with Screentime

Screentime and Greenstone owner Cordell Jigsaw have both had shows supported in the final round of Australian doco funding for the year. 13 projects will share over $3.8 million, which Screen Australia claims will create production value of more than $13.2 million.

Supported by the National Documentary Programme, Screentime’s Stop Laughing, This Is Serious explores the history of Australian comedy, and is written by Paul Horan and Paul Clarke.

Ex-pat Horan was a founder of the New Zealand Comedy Festival in 1992 and the Classic Comedy Club six years later. He’s written for several TV shows oin both sides of the ditch including Topp Twins. He appeared onscreen in Leanne Pooley’s Topp Twins: Untouchable Girls.

Cordell Jigsaw is supported for a third series of Go Back to Where You Came From under the General Documentary Programme.
