Show Me Shorts adds workshops to programme

Show Me Shorts will introduvce a new feature to the festival this year, half-day short film workshops taking place in Auckland and Wellington during November.

The workshops will be split into two sessions. In the first, a panel of established filmmakers talk about some of their own work and discuss what goes into developing a good short film. The session will end with a Q&A with each filmmaker.

In the second session, three emerging filmmakers will screen their most recent work, talk about what they’ve learned through the process of making their films and receive feedback from experienced filmmakers.

The workshop in Auckland will take place on Saturday November 7, at the Academy Cinema. Roseanne Liang (Take 3, Banana in a Nutshell) plus a TBC panelist will talk about their work.

In Wellington, the workshop will be at the Paramount on Saturday 14 November, featuring Filmmakers Louis Sutherland (Run, The Six Dollar Fifty Man) and Paul Ward (The Graffiti of Mr Tupaia, Choice Night).
Both workshops run 9.30am – 1.30pm.

Tickets cost $10. Info from Show Me Shorts
