Show Me Shorts issues 2015 invites

Show Me Shorts has opened its call for applications for this year’s 2015 Short Film Lab, run with Script to Screen.

The Lab will run 7 November in Auckland. Applications are now open and close on 24 September. Those selected will be announced at the festival programme launch.

The festival has also launched a kit for schoolteachers, comprising a resource booklet and DVD or online access to nine shorts. Among the titles in the programme are Richard Mans’ Abiogenesis, Lauren Jackson’s I’m Going to Mum’s (the first film out of production from the festival’s Short Film Lab), and Mark Albiston & Louis Sutherland’s Six Dollar Fifty Man. The kit has been developed with Richard George, Deputy Principal of Manurewa Intermediate.

Submissions to this year’s Show Me Shorts have now closed. The festival will open in November.
