The Sydney Film Festival (SFF) will present the Aussie premiere of John Maclean’s Sundance winner Slow West, with the Transmission Films title heading promptly off to major centres in other Australian states.
The release plan, under a SFF Presents banner, will see Slow West and fellow Sundance feature Kim Farrant’s Strangerland hit Palace Cinemas in Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra, Brisbane and Perth.
The Sydney Film Festival runs 3 – 14 June, with Slow West making its appearance very early in the proceedings ahead of a 4 June release into other centres. The film, with Rachel Gardner one of its producers, opens in New Zealand on 21 May.
