Te Papa has a couple of special events to accompany its DreamWorks Animation exhibition this weekend. Friday 19 sees three presenters Exploring Digital Storytelling, followed on Saturday by a day of workshops.

Sunday 21 IGDA is running its Minicade Showcase at MOTAT.

Out and about

Tuesday 23 sees Script to Screen kick off its 2016 programme in Auckland with Cannes Directors’ Fortnight selector Benjamin Illos in conversation with Max Currie.

Kathryn Burnett will run her Beginners Guide To Screenwriting on 27 and 28 February.

Fresh from Berlin Mahana has ScreenTalk presentations at Rialto Auck;and (24 February) and Dunedin (1 March)

Also on 24 February are the WIFT Awards

Saturday 27 offers another chance to see Gayby Baby (pictured top), this month’s DOCommunity screening in Auckland. In Christchurch, Script to Screen runs a .one-day workshop with Jackie van Beek.
