SPADA announces more speakers

John Nolan and Grant Moran join the line-up of international speakers for the SPADA Conference.

John Nolan, Managing Director Apollo20, is charged with finding innovation in production funding and distribution.  He works with brands and agencies to create content and to help distribute it globally.

A producer with 20 years of experience Nolan has now crossed the Rubicon into the world of finding the money to make stuff, a world where viewers are rapidly embracing new platforms and looking to avoid commercial messages.  Over the last ten years, he has produced over 200 hours of “Branded Content”, throughout Europe and the US and launched digital distribution channels across ever an increasing variety of platforms.  And has launched TV Channels and YouTube Channels for brands, and out of necessity has become an expert on the regulations regarding commercial funding of content.  Nolan’s talk at Conference will focus on disruption in funding and how we might all have to think moving forward.

Developing Properties for the Kids’ Market?
Grant Moran is a 2015 Emmy winner for “Outstanding Writing in an Animated programme” for his work as Head Writer on PBS Kids’ WordGirl series.

He’s been a writer, story editor, producer and executive in children’s and family entertainment for 20 years.  Moran is speaking at Conference on the development process in animation; as well as making time to meet with any producers who are currently developing properties for the children’s market.

He’s happy to have material sent through beforehand (and will sign a NDA) to ensure your one-on-one can be more effective.  If you’d like to book time/discuss this further please email [email protected].

The SPADA Conference runs 12 – 13 November in Wellington. The programme is available here.
