ARRI, Sydney, 28 June 2016: After over successful ten years at the helm of ARRI Australia Stefan Sedlmeier, one of the industry’s most well known and respected figures, is leaving for pastures new.
Sedlmeier said, “It’s time for a new challenge and a new direction in my career. With that said the last ten years running ARRI Australia have been some of the happiest and most rewarding of my life. I have to thank all my staff both current and past as they have been instrumental in my time at ARRI Australia. I must also thank the wonderful clients I have dealt with, all of whom have been amazing but are simply too many to name individually and the industry associations in particular the ACS, SMPTE and AFTRS. I’m truly honoured to have worked alongside you all.”
Sedlmeier arrived at ARRI Australia in 2006 and has been credited with not only turning the company around but also ensuring successful launches of some of the industry’s most ground breaking products including the ALEXA, ALEXA Mini and AMIRA digital cameras in Australia and New Zealand.
A spokesperson from ARRI HQ in Munich added, “After the successful establishment of ARRI Australia in Sydney, serving Australia and New Zealand and co-development of the fastest growing sales region in the East Asia Pacific Stefan has decided to pursue further opportunities in his personal career. We are very pleased with his achievements and everything he has done for the motion picture industry in Australia and New Zealand and wish him all the best for his future.”
Stefan Sedlmeier will be leaving ARRI Australia in mid-July and in true Stefan fashion has already been appointed as the newest member of the SMPTE Australia board.
Sedlmeier concluded, “I say to all my friends and colleagues in the industry, whilst I leave ARRI I’m not leaving Australia so please stay in touch. I certainly intend to.”
Until mid-July you can reach Stefan at ARRI Australia on +61 2 9855 4308 or at [email protected] after that he will be reachable on his mobile +61 400 410 310.
