SWANZ lines up 2015 nominees

The NZWG’s awards event has revealed its 2015 finalists.

2014 event hosts John Leigh and Greg Johnson find themselves on the nominations list this year, named in the New Writer category.

Three films are nominated more than once. Features Deathgasm and I Survived a Zombie Holocaust compete for Best Feature Script and New Writer; Feeder competes for Best Short and New Writer. The nominations for Deathgasm and I Survived a Zombie Holocaust continue the trend of low budget features achieving nominations, although last year James Napier Robertson (pictured above) won the Feature category with The Dark Horse.

Roseanne Liang is among the nominees returning from the 2014 edition, again nominated for Flat 3 in the TV Comedy category. Sister Renee joins the nominees list this year, named in the Play category for Under the Same Moon.

No nominees were named in two categories this year: One-off TV Drama, the stomping ground of Sunday Theatre presentations, and Documentary Script.
